Prairie View Farms
| Operation Descritpion: | Prairie View Farm today consists of more than 130 cows. PVF New Horizon 001, Dameron PVF Raptor 702 and many Proven Queens have been bred on the operation. The farm is also home to a select group of cows owned by Adcock Land and Livestock, Moweaqua and Burr Ridge. Alan has judged numerous state and national livestock shows, and been active in the Illinois Angus Association as sale chairman for the last 10 years. Today, Alan and Orlan jointly operate the farm. The operation consists not only of the purebred Angus, but 1,000 acres of corn, soybean, wheat, and alfalfa hay. The cattle are intensively grazed on rotational pastures primarily on the home farm. |
