The Fin

Tired of having fertilizer splattered all over your expensive equipment?
Innovative product from J. D. Skiles, Inc., eliminates splatter with "THE FIN". A liquid placement tool for John Deere 50,60,90 series & IH SDX series
The Fin, Fertilizer and Seed Placer, is the cleanest method to apply in-furrow liquid starter fertilizer with single disc drill openers.
The ¾" wide Fin, made of UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight) plastic to ensure long wear life, replaces the traditional 1" wide seed firming wheel. The narrower Fin provides more consistent firming action and seed depth. In moist or wet seeding conditions, it eliminates lifting of seed from the furrow by the rolling wheel.
The Fin places liquid fertilizer at the deepest point of the furrow. Regardless if the Fin's are brand new or have worn to 50%, the patented design keeps the delivery point deep in the furrow. This means your equipment stays clean. Compared to traditional stainless steel tube delivery methods, splatter on the drill is virtually eliminated.
J.D. Skiles has been designing liquid fertilizer application systems for over 20 years. During that time, our fertilizer metering and placement specialists have developed unmatched expertise. Let them put their expertise to work for you on your fertilizer application needs.
